Wind Cave Trail

The Stats:
Hike Date: April 7, 2018
Location: Mesa, AZ
Distance: 2.6 miles
Elevation Gain: 770 feet
Published Difficulty: Moderate

The Skinny:
Honestly? Not my favorite hike. It was incredibly packed with people, and the cave at the end was a bit disappointing. That is, if you’re willing to call it a cave and not just a rock overhang. I spared you the photo in case you want to discover it for yourself.

If you do choose to pay the $7 to get into the park, I would recommend planning a couple of trails to make it worth your while. That said, the hike itself (after you get past the flat first half mile or so) is pretty. The trail brings you along the side of the mountain until you reach the “cave.” Perhaps trying it on a weekday would yield better results? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
